Mocking Pearl Harbor Survivors and Adding Insult to Injury

Pocket

These people are sick in the head. They mock WWII Pearl Harbor survivors.

The surviving WWII veterans are not comedy banter, they are hero’s that deserve more respect than that shown by Natasha Leggero.

Shame on you Natasha Leggero!

The following is taken from NewsBusters.org: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2014/01/01/nbc-news-year-s-eve-mocks-pearl-harbor-survivors-only-able-chew-spagh

On Pearl Harbor Day, Campbell’s got in a lot of trouble when it tweeted out a picture of its SpaghettiOs mascot holding an American flag and asking people to “take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us.”

On NBC’s “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly,” actress and comedienne Natasha Leggero disgustingly joked, “It sucks that the only survivors of Pearl Harbor are being mocked by the only food they can still chew” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

CARSON DALY, HOST: SpaghettiOs on Pearl Harbor Day, they sent out a tweet featuring their mascot holding an American flag asking people to quote “take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us.” It offended a lot of people, corporations glomming on to, you know, sentimental American historic traditions, seemingly looking for people in business. It wasn’t good. But you were offended for another reason.

JANE LYNCH: I’m offended because they were referring to SpaghettiOs as pasta.

NATASHA LEGGERO: I mean, it sucks that the only survivors of Pearl Harbor are being mocked by the only food they can still chew. It’s just sad.

The entire group thought this was hysterical, especially actor Anthony Anderson who proceeded to laugh as if this was the funniest thing he’d ever heard.

Yeah, mocking the only survivors of one of the worst attacks on America in its history is hilarious.
